



WHAT IS THE MOST DIFFICULT MOTION IN TENNIS?
The general consensus is that the service motion is the hardest motion to execute in the game. Why? Imagine trying to juggle, while riding a unicycle and passing through traffic congestion! Perhaps that may be an exaggeration, but you get the point. What we can agree on is the combination of several factors to properly execute an effective serve – strength, fitness, timing and full-body control. A well-executed serve will set the tone for the points that follow.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT RACQUET GRIPS?
When speaking of racquet handle grip of the players, we are referring to “the technique the player chooses to grasp the racquet handle. There are four main ways players grip the tennis racquet - Continental, Eastern, Semi-Western and Western grips. However, each grip can have its own variation. For example, Nadal uses a semi-western to full western grip on the forehand side. In the end, learning and experimenting with each is essential.

Position, balance, stability, recovery and court coverage are all the earmarks of footwork in tennis. The coach’s direction to “move your feet,” “get to the ball,” and “get behind the ball” – all emphasize the importance of footwork. For the player to master footwork, training and drills are indispensable.
